Maisie C. Sokolove
Maisie C. Sokolove joined Knox Ricksen as an associate in 2007. Her practice focuses on personal injury and wrongful death cases, as well as environmental and toxic tort defense. Ms. Sokolove also represents clients in fraud and qui tam actions against doctors, chiropractors, attorneys, corporate officers and directors, automotive repair operators and other individuals and entities engaging in unfair or fraudulent practices.
In 2009, Ms. Sokolove served as part of the trial team that secured a winning jury verdict on behalf of the plaintiffs in an insurance bad faith suit.
Before joining Knox Ricksen, Ms. Sokolove served as a Deputy County Counsel at the Office of the County Counsel for Alameda County, primarily representing the County in civil litigation matters and administrative hearings. While at the Office of the County Counsel, Ms. Sokolove also engaged in extensive appellate work, including oral argument before the First District Court of Appeal. During her time working for the County, Ms. Sokolove gained experience in a wide variety of practice areas, including public entity tort liability, civil rights, employment law, land use, and juvenile dependency.
While in law school, Ms. Sokolove was a member of the Hastings Law Journal.
