Brian D. Amonn
Brian D. Amonn joined Knox Ricksen in 2008 as a Law Clerk and is now an Associate with the Firm. His practice areas include insurance coverage, toxic torts, products liability, personal injury, insurance fraud, and construction defect. Mr. Amonn also assists clients in qui tam actions against individuals and entities engaging in unfair or fraudulent business practices.
Before working at Knox Ricksen, Mr. Amonn worked as a Summer Clerk at Seller Hazard Manning Ficenec & Lai. There, he gained valuable experience working on premises liability, personal injury, and construction defect litigation.
While in law school, Mr. Amonn served as a Teaching Assistant in both Federal Civil Procedure and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Additionally he received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Writing and Research II and Practical Legal Writing and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in California Civil Procedure and California Legal Research. Mr. Amonn graduated on the Dean’s list and was inducted into the Jesse Carter Honor Society.
Before attending law school, Mr. Amonn worked as a Bodily Injury Examiner for a major automobile insurance carrier. His responsibilities included making liability and coverage decisions, reviewing medical bills and charts in the process of evaluating claims, attending mediations and mandatory settlement conferences, and negotiating both pre-litigation and litigated claims to reach an amicable resolution.
