Ryan G. Jacobson
Ryan Jacobson joined Knox Ricksen as an Associate in May of 2010, after having clerked with the firm. His practice areas include membership on the toxic torts, products liability, personal injury, and insurance fraud practice groups. Mr. Jacobson also assists clients in qui tam actions against individuals and entities engaging in unfair or fraudulent business practices.
While still in law school, Mr. Jacobson served as a Student Attorney for the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. There he assisted in the representation of the People of San Francisco in preliminary hearings for felonies as well as misdemeanor trials. Mr. Jacobson gained valuable experience in the fast-paced litigation world, assisting in witness examinations and court conferences, as well as, preparation for trial proceedings.
Mr. Jacobson also participated in a Defense Clinic while in law school. He worked as a Student Attorney for numerous indigent clients in Providence, Rhode Island, assisting them with court appearances, investigation of their case, interviewing witnesses, and preparing for misdemeanor trial proceedings.
Mr. Jacobson credits his work with the District Attorney’s Office, as well as his work with the Defense Clinic, for teaching him the deeper values of justice, fairness, and equality, along with the necessary litigation skills of preparation and strategy, which he continues to bring to his own client advocacy.
