Fraysse presented a paper entitled, “Overview of Silica Litigation” as part of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada’s one-day Toxic Tort Committee seminar entitled, California Silica Litigation 2006: For The Defense, on February 3, 2006, at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco, California.The well-received presentation addressed the history of silica litigation in the United States, the recent decision in a Texas federal MDL, the fraudulent aspects of mass screenings, tort reform legislation in Ohio and other jurisdictions, and the expansion of the litigation into California.
