Monsanto, the producer of Roundup, has claimed that there are no ties between Roundup and cancer and they base their claim on studies done by their own company and the EPA. However, consumers have reported various kinds of cancers and more specifically non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. There have been multiple reports of cancer from consumers that have been exposed to Roundup for a prolonged time, even when used as directed on the bottle. Medical journals, as well as, independent research studies have linked Roundup and the chemical Glyphosate, which is found in Roundup, to problems in the cell cycle, which can cause diseases and cancer.
At this time the EPA is unsure if Roundup and the chemicals that make it up are a carcinogenic. There is no label on the bottle that could possibly warn consumers of the health risks that are posed by the prolonged exposure to Roundup. There have been opposing medical report as to the health effect of Roundup and the chemicals that make it up.
