Knox Ricksen LLP, a civil litigation firm specializing in complex health care fraud cases, has added Benjamin Fuchs as an associate in its Walnut Creek office.

“Ben brings a wide range of experience to the table – from working in state government to reporting on news for several media outlets, in addition to his legal background. He has proven his mettle in the courtroom and is experienced with litigation, arbitration and administrative and agency actions related to individual and class action matters. His varied background, coupled with experience handling detailed, highly fact-based matters, will make him an excellent addition to our outstanding team of litigators,” said Managing Partner Thomas Fraysse.

Fuchs has more than four years of litigation experience, having tried numerous labor and employment matters, including wage and hour violations, workplace safety issues and worker misclassifications, and representing labor unions and members before various state and federal agencies. He also has tried more than 60 individual and class arbitrations to judgment or favorable settlement. Fuchs served as an investigator and labor representative for the State Bar of California’s Office of Chief Trial Counsel, assisting with prosecution of attorneys for state and federal law and professional conduct violations.

Prior to attending law school, Fuchs enjoyed a career as a writer and editor, often covering legislative and legal trends and the business of law. He earned his J.D., Order of the Barristers, from Tulane University Law School (2014) and his B.A. from the University of Oregon (2003).
