Knox Ricksen Adds Khalilah Walters as Counsel in Los Angeles

Knox Ricksen LLP, a civil litigation firm specializing in complex healthcare fraud cases, has added Khalilah A. Walters in its Los Angeles office. Walters joins from Daniel, Medley & Kirby PC.

“Khalilah brings a unique perspective and skill to our team, leveraging her time as a big law M&A attorney and as in-house counsel to deliver impactful results in complicated matters. She has a breadth of experience in several jurisdictions, and we are thrilled to have her at Knox Ricksen,” stated Maisie Sokolove, the firm’s managing partner.

Walters has more than 15 years of legal experience, litigating complex matters in state and federal courts in several states and representing a variety of private, public, and nonprofit clients in commercial matters. She spent nearly 10 years at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring. Walters also served as in-house counsel for a California-based entertainment company. She serves on the board of directors for the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History. Walters earned her M.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles (2022), her J.D. from Harvard Law School (2007) and her B.A., cum laude, from Middlebury College (2002).
