Laura Smith

Laura Smith is a litigation associate with Knox Ricksen’s Texas team where her practice focuses on personal injury defense.

Laura has represented a variety of clients in complex litigation matters, including corporate non-subscriber, premises liability and vehicle accident claims, evaluating claims exposure, negotiating settlements, and developing strategic recommendations for corporate risk management teams. She has served as coverage counsel to insurance carriers, analyzing policy language and coverage issues and advising on reservation of rights and coverage position correspondence. In addition, Laura has experience with personal injury lawsuits and business disputes, and she represented state agencies in trial and appellate litigation with the Texas Office of the Attorney General.
